Here's a set of tunes I picked up from the Four Winds album - which is really fantastic, and especially interesting to me because it's got both concertina and bouzouki. It's a set of reels called The Flags of Dublin, Ger Quigley's and Fred's Favourite. That last one is rather tricky on harmonica, since it switches from A major in the first part to A minor in the second. Although I can manage it on the chromatic harmonica, I like the sound on the bluesharp better. That means that I have to switch between two harmonica's throughout the tune. Ah well, it worked out fine I'd say. For those who want to know: the harmonicas are all Seydel "Session Steel" harmonica's, solo tuned in G, D and A, respectively. The concertina is a Marcus Anglo in G/D and the bouzouki is a Fylde longscale archtop in G,DAd. I don't know the brand of the plectrum, sorry. Enjoy!

Quality isn't the greatest I know but I just had to share this... In the Space year 2010, Electric Six, the formidable rock band that did Gay Bar and then went on to put out 6 more albums that people stupidly turned their noses up at, performed in the famous Sauna known as the O2 Academy in Birmingham During said performance (and sang performance), they played a song not of their own creation, but one created some 17 billion years earlier at the dawn of time by popular cheesy rock ballad songster Chesney Hawkes. But who IS the one and only? Chesney? OR Dick? There's only one way to find out..... Also it's probably best if you shut your eyes and just listen to this, I was being jostled a lot as I was filming this because the crowd went mental so its more for listening pleasure rather than visual. And yeah, shut up, I'm not using soundcloud.... Epic night, epic track, epic band, please give them more of a chance, they're so much more than just "that tounge in cheek band that does gay bar." Get it or miss out........yeahhhhh
